Hanukkah On The Rocks

A few days before Hanukkah Tory quits her spirit-crushing corporate law job and surprisingly takes a bartending gig at the decidedly unhip Mack’s while trying to figure out what to do with the rest of her life. That’s where she meets Sam, a recent retiree who’s bored and desperate to stay active, and Jay, Sam’s grandson and a traveling telehealth radiologist who is trying to convince Sam to leave freezing Chicago and join the rest of the family in sunny Florida. What Sam really wants is a box of the “good” Hanukkah candles and soon enlists Tory and Jay into the effort. Before we know it, Mack’s is turned into Maccabee’s, a pop-up, holiday bar with Hanukkah-themed cocktails and bar food. Over the next eight crazy nights and with a little bit of help from Sam, Tory and Jay verbally spar and jab, chart a new path professionally, and together discover the miracle of Hanukkah.
